Factory Manager

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to oversee operations at our pet food factory in Lieto, Finland, with a strong focus on quality, process excellence, and operational discipline. Reporting to the Technology and Manufacturing Director, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards while driving continuous improvement in production.

Our factory operates with sustainability at its core, considering the environment at every stage and prioritizing locally sourced ingredients. We have versatile production, manufacturing high-quality frozen and dry feed as well as treats for cats and dogs. Product safety is guaranteed through certified standards, ensuring only the best for pets.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the manufacturing team to drive quality and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 and ISO 14000 standards.
• Implement continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain high standards in quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental sustainability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive operational discipline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and innovation.
• accountable for the new product introductions (NPI) in production
• budgeting and forecasting
  

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Factory Manager, preferably in the human food.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards (FSSC 22000, ISO 14000).
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Leadership skills with a hands-on approach to coaching and team development.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Fluent Finnish and good English language skills.
